Search for the Druid: The main quest of Chapter 1, the rescue of the druid Halsin.
The Find the Druid mission in Baldur’s Gate can be unlocked in several ways, including during the Druid’s Apprentice quest. As part of this mission, you must find the druid leader Halsin, who has fallen victim to goblins.
Get to the goblin camp
The task requires you to rescue Halsin, the leader of the druids. He has been captured by goblins, so you need to infiltrate their camp and rescue him. The goblin camp can be found in the western part of the map. The main entrance to the camp leads over a wooden suspension bridge. Now you only need to make a ranged attack to set the cloud on fire.
You will meet guards at the entrance. During the conversation, choose a dialogue question that tests the skills that are easiest for you to complete. At the end of the conversation, you must agree to the requirements to smear your face with manure. Select the option "Bend your face and do what you have to do." If you disagree with this, you will start a fight with the goblins. When the fire is extinguished, quickly run through it with the whole party.
Go north from the checkpoint. Along the way, you will meet the Bard Vollo – after talking with him, you will open the side quest "Saving the Bard". Keep going north and go through the large wooden door with the ogre next to it to get into the Ruined Sanctuary.
In search of Halsin
After entering, you will have another meeting with security. Save the game and approach them to take further challenges – this type of action awaits you here several times if you don’t want to start fights. Go further north to reach the Priestess of the Gut. Don’t get into a discussion with her, but remember her location-you’ll be back here soon.
To get to the place where Halsin is being held, go to the northeast corner of this location, where you will find a door leading to the Worg Farm.
Once you enter there, approach the grate with the bear trapped behind them. Interact with them to start a conversation. During the conversation, select these dialog options:
What are you doing with the demon?
Stop it, right now or [Ittilid] [Wisdom] Step back. I’ll take care of the animal.
When the bear gets out of the cage, start a conversation with him and choose an option to attack the goblins. You will face a group of enemies trapped in a cage next to the lips, but in battle you will be assisted by a bear. First of all, kill the goblins – they are harmless until they get out of prison.
When the fight is over, interact with the bear again, which turns out to be… the druid Halsin. During the conversation, you will receive a new goal for this quest – to kill the three goblin leaders, the Priestess Gut. Check out Smarkets for fast-paced fun.
